How to lead the millennial generation

Let’s face it. The millennials are here. And they ain’t bothered about adapting to your organization. Your organization is gonna have to adapt to them. Here are some tips I have found that help.

  • Don’t tell them what to do. Show them what needs to be accomplished. They shall figureĀ  out the way to get there.
  • Don’t expect them to work for a salary. Give them room to be creative. They want to make a meaningful contribution.
  • Don’t expect them to respect you. Earn their respect. Engage in conversations where you watch, listen and implement ideas with the team.

So when you hear executives complaining about millennials and their sense of entitlement, question your business model. It is probable a decade or more out of date.
